New Richmond Main Street station.

Why dont most Amtrak trains stop at the newly opened ststion. I recently looked in the new system timetable booklet and most trains dont stop there, why is this i understand that the other station there is nothing special. Why wouldnt they just use the nice and historical Main Street station.

The Florida trains do not pass this station; they run on a through line further to the west.

I did ride the train to Newport News last year (August) and it went right by Main Street, but the station did not open until later...December. I wanted to ride back there and check out the station earlier this year, also because it is within walking distance of the "triple crossing". Unfortuantely the layover between southbound and northbound runs was about 7 hours, and I didn't want to hang around there that long.
