Balance - Watching versus Shooting (Help!!!)

I know what you mean when it comes to that "cheated feeling." <br /> <br />I recenetly went out to mission to watch the 2816 go through, and thought I should take some pics with my dad's little digital camera.... <br /> <br />Well I got totally hung up on taking the pictures, when it was all over, I couldn't even remember what the train looked like??? <br /> <br />Hence, I have what to me were some great pics, but I never really even looked at the train, I just saw it through the view finder. <br /> <br />From now on I am going to try and strike a better balance, I seem to get more fun out of just watching anyway. (I did get some nice shots that I am now using as wallpaper, though. [:)]
