You might have to click on satellite or hybrid to see the image and not a map. </FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" color=#003300>Assuming that this is the crossing, and that the gates drop perpendicular to the road, I'm of the opinion that it would be <I>very easy</I> to swing around the gates, at the speed limit.</FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" color=#003300>Again, if the tracks showed there were centered up on the track when they got hit, those tracks should have also shown if they weren't in their lane.</FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" color=#003300>There are two tracks there, again assuming that this is the crossing, which would have been in use?</FONT></P> <P>[/quote]</P> <P><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA"><FONT face=verdana,geneva size=2>I am not sure which way the train was going, but that is the crossing. <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I</SPAN>t does look like the gates may be as much as 120 feet apart, so I agree that it would be easy to make the zigzag swerve to get around them at 28 mph. <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Apparently, the police concluded that the car ran around the lowered gates, but the stories do not specify the evidence that led the police to that conclusion.</FONT><SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN></SPAN></P>
