Why are GE locomotives better than EMD?

Hey coach, I think neither is better. They both growl, they both shake the hell out of the earth when the rumble by, and they smell so delicious, I could lick the damn things... Well maybe not so much the last part. <br /> <br />Anyhow, EMD should be noted for the SD40-2, that locmotive has nothing but good behind it's name. GE, well, they did the C44-9W, and I have to say, those things ride like a beaut, even on jointed rail. <br /> <br />I know EMD is hooped, but hey, that's business, and it sucks. Let's just enjoy railroading as it is, and what it was before too mnay stupid politicians and "idealists" revamp everything.
