Hey Sooblue, Your correct, doesn't really matter what you get on the point when called at your away from home terminal. What really matters is what train your called for! A fast Z,or a 14,000 ton grain train. What would you choose? One will get you home on this 254 mile intra-divisional run in about 5 hrs and the other 10 plus hrs.Running time is 4 hrs 20 mins with no delays for a 60 mph train. When called you know what train you've got but not what the consist is.Useually its 3 C44-9 s with the occasional dash-8,but sometimes we're blessed with a SD-70 or a SD-75.The BNSF has turned into a predominately GE road for frieght with EMD usually found on coal trains. The TRUTH? Wish it was the other way around.Let the coal haulers have the GE's.
