UP SD-70-M's with US Flags

I saw the new UP SD-70-M's at Proviso on 11-06-01 that came delivered with big US Flags on the long hood. They look really cool! They went west on MPRCB-07 on 11-07-01 in route to Omaha, NE. The units are numbered UP-4526 and UP-4527. I have pictures of them at Proviso and I would be glad to e-mail them if anybody wanted to see them.....Dave DJHOGHEAD@AOL.COM

I think I spotted those newly-decorated loco's on the engine tracks along the north side of Proviso yard while I was heading south on the Mannheim Road overpass back around then (didn't really make note of the date at the time). You're right, they are impressive! Does anybody know if there's anything similar (but not necessarily NEW loco's) on the SOO line? I have a vague recollection of seeing a red SOO loco with a big
flag-type logo on the long hood at the east end of the Bensenville yard, again off the Mannheim Road bridge near Belmont Avenue at around that same time. It didn't register mentally until I saw your comment about the UP units.

Yes, please send me the pictures. I did not get the route list in time to go see them. My e-mail is bnsf4me@yahoo.com . Thanks!

I should have taken pics of 'em too, but didn't.
They came through Herington, ks (my run) on a shipper special a couple of weeks ago. They look sharp. Expect to see a lot more of 'em, as this is to be the latest version of UP color scheme. All new units and ones being repainted will get the same treatment. At least that's what the company told us.
