I heard there was a US railroad engineer or executive who in recent years had revolutionized the way timetables worked, finding ways of getting more use out of every mile of track. Does this sound familiar? Does anyone know who this is? I'd like to know the name.
Thanks for your help.

Trains Magazine had a blurb in the last year or so about someone at Illinois Central working to implement scheduled freight service systemwide, as well as introducing new ways to schedule crews over its lines in such a way that their work schedules were more predictable. Seems I read recently that he went to Canada and is doing the same thing for either CP or CN up there. Sorry I don't have the issue information- might try checking the magazine index feature somewhere else on this web site.
