Quite frankly, we don't have much choice in the matter. Building more freeways won't cut down on car emissions much, and just about every city and state are looking at losing their federal highway funding. Airports are dirtier than highways, so that won't be the answer either. Trains, both innercity and intercity, don't pollute anywhere near as much as cars and jets, so here lies the answer, something anyone serious about the issue understands already. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out. <br /> <br />So since every large state is going to lose its federal funding for highways, we might as well as build high speed rail instead....
