The Alemeda corridor is not quite the typical grade level track, is it? A major highway throughfare was rebuilt, instead of having a divided highway, it is now undivided and with fewer lanes. The tracks were built in an open tunnel, a lot of digging was done. <br /> <br />A better example considering costs might be the double tracking of the San Bernadino corridor, similar to what DART has done in Dallas....more in the neighborhood of $20 million a mile.....
