Actually DART does not make money operationally. However, with the one cent sales tax as its foundation, we get one of the best bus systems in the country, and when the second phase of light rail is completed soon, one of the best commuter rails systems in the country too. <br /> <br />As I have posted before, if we were willing to spend $5 to $6 billion a year for high speed rail, we could have a pretty good intercity network in twenty years....
