I think there are still a few railroads around that care about their public image; at least to some extent. Look at UP's Heritage locomotives, and their steam program. That is the PR department's doing though, not the work of the operations department...[:-^] I think the operations department could care less whether they had the heritage locomotives or primer-painted locos with stenciled on reporting marks. Just my [2c]
