Ed: <br /> <br />That's great investment advice! Your DC analogy is perhaps the most pithy way of phrasing it I've heard yet! <br /> <br />Reasonable? Heck, i love trains, and I know that to be blind and just "wish it were so" will never accomplish anything. Except perhaps to waste more money. <br /> <br />I don't really know for certain if a passenger train can break even, or not. I think it's awful strange if this country can do so much in the free market but can't run one stinking passenger train wihtout subsidies. But maybe it isn't possible. <br /> <br />But we will never know if all we do is take knee-jerk positions and defend the status quo.
