That's a big impact to the driving public by the standards in my area. <br /> <br />I saw a picture from a helicopter on the news of the bridge. I would be surprised if they were able to get that repaired in only six months. One important question will be 'How much of the bridge that is still standing will have to be removed due to damage from the collapse?' I noticed the bridge is steel girder with slab and I believe it is 'continuous' construction. I expect to hear more about the follow up on this project in the trade publications. Thanks for the detour information. - Ed
