I'll be brief

Does anyone want to know any of the engines going thru Lincoln by number - for CSX, UP, NS whatever? I usually update my sightings, but if someone is interested in knowing the #'s - I will record them on my scraps of paper and report.

Or maybe just save the ink?

Mookie,

It would be good practice for me if you posted/emailed just the road name and engine number - that way I could improve my speed at looking it up in my Locomotive Spotters Guide for Foamers. Alas, [sigh] my copy is currently only frayed on the CN section as that is the only road I see regularly (Well, I see the local WHRC but they only have 8 operational engines - all MLW RS23's so I pretty much know what's comin' round the bend with those guys) Saw 2 CN SD75IW's hauling 62 gypsum cars yesterday though, cooool!!

I do envy the variety of locos and roads that you get to see out in Nebrasky, it sounds like it's never dull.

My wife completely disrupted a staff meeting today by spotting two CN locomotives pulling a Norfolk Southern freight from Birmingham (Alabama) to Macon (Georgia). I should have caught camera shots but was too busy sleeping before work (as compared to sleeping at work, which is not a good thing.)
CN+NS= CNS.... It doesn't sing!

Erik - 3 cheers for your wife -

1 - she may becoming a fan and
2 - it keeps all her co-workers off guard.

I especially like the 2nd one! Do it all the time!

MlaM,

While #s do nothing for me, I do enjoy reading the "Mookie Blotter from Lincoln".

BTW

This is the first thing in a long time that started with .."I'll be brief".......which didn't turn out to be bad news or get me sent to a bad place.....

No I've already been to battle with Sears about warranty work on a heat pump and a contractor about doing some work on our house in VA. I'm primed and ready today.
