<p>No.</p><p>I think one small gas station on the west coast is selling at 5.40 now and with the commodities market having a meltdown, no end in sight.</p><p>It's time we learn how high desiel prices can go before trucking is forced to stop.</p><p>Even if there is a miracle and a fine fuel efficient truck getting 100 miles to the gallon is built, no one will buy it, only lease it. And after two years it gets thrown back onto the junker's scrap/salvage line wore out and put up.</p><p>Keep in mind that tractors are considered disposable. No one except Owner Operators BUY trucks to keep 15-30 years.</p><p>What we can do is go back to the Oxen days and extend delivery times 9 months for a trans USA freight shipment.</p>
