Reporting Marks
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, March 19, 2004 12:57 AM
Hello all, long time reader, but first time poster. I have been watching trains off and on for quite a while now, but I started photographing them about a year ago. In photographing, I have also been trying to keep track of the reporting marks and have found some good websites for researching them, but there have been a couple that I have not been able to find. The two that I am having trouble with are TLKX and GPIX. I think GPIX might be Sunbelt Cement just because of the logo on the side. So I was wondering if anyone knew what these were or what sites you use on a regular basis.

Thanks in advance.

My source does give GPIX as being Sunbelt Cement. Can't help with the other one.

According to the Canadian Trackside Guide, TLKX belongs to a company called TUCO Inc. That's all I have!

The best site I've found for reporting marks, both historical and current (by which I mean that it's usually updated to the newest Equipment Register) is

http://www.nakina.net/report.html

Have fun!
