RailNut, you were almost 100% on your reply... <br />The Mendota Sub runs all the way from Galesburg to Montgomery, IL (just west of Aurora), where the Illinois RailNet (former Fox River Branch)joins the main. From Montgomery east it is the Chicago Sub. <br />Zearing (between Mendota and Princeton) is where the branch south to Ladd and LaSalle (the LaSalle Sub)takes off from the main.
