But the Wabash apparently had a nack of using acronyms before they were fashionable. Pergo near Montpelier is reportedly combination of Peru and Chicago. Perhaps Hugo is a combination of Huntington and somethint else? Incidentally, my 1897 timetable lists this location as "Muncie Junction". (The north-south line that crossed here was originally the Fort Wayne, Muncie & Cincinatti.)
