When they built the terminal at Mendota,Il , BNSF , they said the corn was going to cattle feedlots in the Lubbock , Tx area . They load unit trains 100-110 cars , 400,000+- bu . I have been there waiting in line with my truck watching the cars go through the loading process . Seems like when I timed them it took 2-3 minutes for a car to get loaded . There is another loading facility at Galva , Il but I don't recall hearing where that corn goes .
