OK, the site says <i>126 MPH</i> in 1938. that was for about 20 seconds according to 3 of my books. Its OFFICIAL SUSTAINED SPEED was the 125 mentioned above, which is on the plack on the side of the loco itself. <br /> <br />and just to mention, Kevin joined our little group at my forum, so all three of us are there! see ya "next door" as well put by Dough
