Does anyone know anything about this company? I saw several of their boxcars (white with black doors and lettering) on a train today.

Lamb-Weston. They were a Pacific NorthWest food processor that got into the private rail car business. They quit (I think) the food business and continued their X-Line business, and I think they owned Cryogenic Reefers.
PNWRMNM would know. Lamb-Weston's import/export office is still located in Portland on SW Taylor (Lamb-Weston Asia, Ltd).

Eric is correct. Lamb Weston is major manufacturer of french fries and other spud products. If I remember right they were using CRYX marked cars, which they did not own but leased from Cryo Trans who pioneered the liquid carbon dioxide technology for frozen foods in refers.
Weston was (may still be) a station on UP in far Northeastern Oregon, south of Walla Walla Washington. May or may not be related to Corporate name.

After I wrote the above post, I got to thinking about Lamb-Weston, and what kept coming to mind was that they had a connection with Sen.Smith's food plant? So I looked up just where Weston is, and that is where his plant is. And, yes, three years ago, the tracks were still there and shiny. Hwy 11 parallels a good part of the branch.
It's been so many years since the Cryo Train (couldn't remember the name!) thing I had almost forgotten about it!
The road goes to either Milton-Freewater or over the Blues at Tollgate and down into Elgin.
Check out http://www.lamb-weston.com/ It is owned by Con-Agra Foods.
