Dave[/quote] [bow] I definitely vote for the California Zephyr! I've taken the CZ round trip many times between Chicago and Oakland, CA. The majestic scenery out west was a free perk. With one exception (heading west that trip), I've always enjoyed the experience. Having sleeping car accommodations was always worth the extra money, too--just to have some privacy if you wanted it. The train crew always seemed pleasant. Later this coming year I want to take the Cardinal to Washington, D. C. What I really want to experience however is ACELA service in the NEC. Has anyone had that 'rush' yet? Would like to hear your impressions if you have. The Sunset Limited would be a fun trip too I think.[8D]
