The old White River line is an ex MO Pac (UP) rail line that runs from around Newport, Arkansas through Branson and on to Kansas City. The UP sold that line to a railroad called Missouri and North Arkansas (I think that was the name). I am not sure if the M & NA still own it or not. I railfanned it late this last summer and saw UP engines on that line. I am not sure of the current status of it or what is going on with it. This is the line that the tourist railroad Branson Scenic uses also.

The AOE became stuck behind a derailed emply coal train and they had to bus the passengers to Branson. I believe this was a Dallas to Branson round trip. They did stop in Little Rock and I went down to see it. This was before I began taking pics of the trains. Well one of these days I might get another chance to see it and I will take pics of it then.
