The story is told through the words and thoughts of my friend John Bush, who was chief mechanical officer of the railroad years ago, and returned a few years ago to lead the organization as president. John is one of those souls who deeply understands what this railroad means and why it is important. This is a story about feelings, emotions, about rituals of passage, of carrying on traditions.
