I'm retired (for the 2nd time). I now have enough time to devote to the activites that excite me - and of course that includes model railroading. I'm currently in the design and build of a shelf layout to live in my bedroom. It will be based on a fictional terminal company in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY. The time is the '50s thru the '70s.
There will be a carfloat transfer, a finger pier with yard, and lots of street running, plus some self-designed structures and businesses using the Walthers Modulars. The first part is under construction now - Dryden's Wharf with a large structure and pier with a crane (still to be chosen!). Visit my blog to see the plan and soon some photos.
