This thread made the "Crapper" a couple days ago. As the great John Long would say: LMFAO! Thank you. Thank you very much.
So you guys would like to see grass mats and postwar? Hmmm, that's interesting - stay tuned . . . Thanks for reading CTT, Terry
Don't forget the indoor/outdoor carpeting and PREwar tinplate. - Clint
... We're bringing back the CTT you remember and appreciated years ago...
This is VERY welcome news indeed, Roger! I recently let my subscription expire precisely because of the lack of "Classic" trains in CTT over the past few years. Looks like I'm going to have to re-subscribe! Thank You! - Clint
Beautiful work, beautiful engine. Congratulations, Dave! - Clint
LOL. Some expert sold them Adobe flash player. The paper catalog is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay faster.
Amen to that, John. Lionel's entire website is quickly becoming an unusable, bloated mess... at least for those of us with slow connections. - Clint
Well, the website is still up. Maybe try emailing them? Scratch that. Doesn't look like they have an email address listed. - Clint
Using SeaMonkey (Firefox's sister software) here, and everything is fine... and on dial-up, no less. - Clint
Lionel U.P. City of Salina M-10000 three-car set. Made from 1934-1936. I'm no expert on pricing, but Greenberg's Guide to Lionel Trains 1901-1942 (2001 edition) lists one of these sets in "Good" condition at $375.00. That will give you a starting point, anyway. Others more knowledgeable than I about these sets will be along soon. - Clint
... oh by the way was made 1934 to 1941
Just for clarification -- from Greenberg's: "Three-car sets were cataloged in 1934-36, four car sets in 1936-41." - Clint
I like them, but the e-unit crapped-out in mine. - Clint
