Yes your are correct, way back John Allen was using them.
I still think it will be a Genesis model.
Add me to the list of very satisfied Digitrax user. At my local club we are using a Super Chief 8amps radio system since 1999 and it has been working flawlessly since. Same thing with my own Zephyr that has been ticking like a Swiss watch since 2002. Even after a trip to the floor, my mistake of course. I also own 4 Digitrax throttles, one UT1, one UT4 radio, one DT100 radio, one DT400 radio. Never had a problem with either and never had a button stick.
Not one problem with my MRC Prodigy Advance system in ten years.
Are you positive the Prodigy Advance or any MRC DCC systems have been on the market for 10 years?
There are a few threads about the MTH SD70ACe worth perusing on the Atlas forum. These locos don't support CV19 consisting therefore they are pretty much useless to those with NCE and the like DCC polling systems out there.
I am also waiting for the Athearn rendition. I was told Summer 2010 at the last NMRA show. Who knows with manufacturers.
I depend on the type of consisting and whether or not the Zephyr will remain your command station. If it is Universal consisting and the Empire Builder is the new command station, simple answer is no, as they are controlled by the command station. If they are CV19 consisted the answer is yes regardless of which unit is the command station.
I gave you the answer to that headlight question last june, in your own thread titled "Avanced Consisting Lighting". Unfortunately you never gave us any feedback. as for ditch light do your own research.
The Zephyr also has two "jump ports" that will allow you to use up to two DC power packs as extra throttles. That would be a quick way to add a throttle or two. However, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, I believe you'd be limited to DC locomotives with this method. You would still need a UT4 or DT400 throttle to run a DCC-equipped locomotive. With the Power Cab, a CAB-04/-05, ProCab or even another Power Cab throttle would work. Tom [/quote
I posted a similar question months ago. http://cs.trains.com/trccs/forums/p/155034/1713477.aspx#1713477 On the ditch light issue, I would consult the decoder's manual or website.
What was the outcome?
