Yes this thread includes everything. Cuts, burns, electrocutions, scrapes, punctures, tears, gouges, apputations, and EVEN post traumatic stress dissorders. Guys and gals, model railroading is dangerous buisness! Even as new as I am here, I have already received acrylic paint in my eye!
Okie dokie I have several questions. You can see by my postcount, I am VERY new to this hobby. I have read books, modelrailroader magazine, various kalmbach books. I am having issues with several things, and request the opinions of everyone here. I appreciate your time. 1. Roofs- with the kits ones bought, what color would you suggest I use on a brick building (flat roof) The layout is based in 1910. Also do you have pictures of this? 2. Figures- how do you stand these guys and gals up? 3. Scratchbuilding
Why yes I did.......twice.
What is the definition of "is?" <shrugs>
Much Ado About Nothing!!
While I am not a big fan of the Vice President, it is a known fact that he does use the railways as a means of transportation. (see story on then Senator Joe Biden and Senator Arlen Specter)
Hey we can capitalize on this with a reality show. We can maybe call it, "When Model Railroading goes bad!" Or "Layouts gone wild." All kidding aside, let's try not to amputate appendages for the sake of a layout Hope ya heal up.
Sounds good, and when I do my car crash scene beside my RR, I already have some (blood), on the area, just have to do good scenery around it to make it real looking! Oh, luckily bandaids are all I am needing (This), time! LOL
We are shooting for authenticity. I think you are well on the way with your crash scene. I look forward to seeing the finished product with a posted pic.
That was a long read. I share many of the above opinions, and I don't have any new ones to offer. But I would like to support two of them. We, as a nation, should move more quickly to eliminate RR grade crossings. No crossings, no collisions! The RRs should do whatever it takes to have forward-looking video cameras operating at all times. They should make up kits ASAP for locomotives that don't have them already installed. These days, video cameras and VCRs
