I started by scanning in the wall I was going put the sign on. Next brought that into my software which I use for my work, but you could possibly use some photo software to do it.
Does anyone know how to do this in Photoshop?
You don't know me. I'm not very tallented.
I started by scanning in the wall I was going put the sign on. Next brought that into my software which I use for my work, but you could possibly use some photo software to do it. Then bring in the sign I want
I love the sign. Is there a good source for signs like that? Can you just scan them out of a magazine? I have a great wall that I would like to break up with a few signs. Thanks.
Does anyone know where I can get O-scale canal boats. I am thinking of adding a canal to my layout. Thanks.
I am just about to finish a book on US steam engines. It covers the first engine to the last plus a little on rolling stock and a chapter on Canada and Mexico. It is long at 445 pages and hundreds of great photos, some in color. The title is The History of North American STEAM by Christopher Chant. I give it two thumbs up.
Sorry Terry, I hope we didn't get too far off topic.
Not at all. I love the tips presented here. I am very new at all of this and am learning a lot from all of you friendly and generous layout builders.
A while back I had a page that gave really good tips on painting buildings, especially brick ones. For the life of me, I can't find it now. It involved using spackling compound in the morter joints and colored paint pens to vary the color of random bricks. It was really great. Does anyone know what or who I am talking about and can help me find it again. Thanks
I would love to add a 736 Berkshire to my layout, but I have mostly 027 track except for my passenger line that has 042 curves and no switches. Can I run this engine on my 027 section with 1122 switches? I notice the two center driving wheels have no flanges. Will this allow it to navagate 027 track? I suspect the problem will be the switches. Thanks
On my layout I use screws to attach the tubular track directly to the plywood. The rumble of the engine and click clack of the cars as they pass over the rail joints does resonate...I LOVE THE SOUND!
I tend to agree. I don't feel that homasote will hold a screw well enough, and I want a solid surface to attached accessories to. I was wondering if foam core would work better. It is thinner has a nice flat clean paper board surface on both sides and the screws
How about something that is small enough to fit inside a box car?
