Is there room in the body of a K-Line Plymouth Switcher to install a TMCC upgrade?
I just got mine too. Kent Johnson's layout is AMAZING!! It's probably the first layout I've seen in CTT that has a staging yard and an operating freight yard. I love the huge CP motive power.
Your elevator could also recieve shipments of dry fertalizers, animal feed, and crop seeds. Make it a Co-Op type setting and have a coal bunker ot commercial/residential heating. Then add a farm implement that can recieve shipments of tractor parts, whole tractors for that matter. Could make the unloading area for the tractors the towns team track.
What exactly is a Co-Op?
I'm planning on building a freight yard. How many tracks would I want minimum? I'm planning on having about six industries. They're all quite small and none of them can handle more than five or six cars per day.
The purpose will mainly be to make up/break up locals. The normal train length is about five cars. The train wouldn't be scheduled to leave until it was completed. The industries wouldn't be with the yard. Each industry would receive two cuts of two or three cars per day.
What would be around a pulpwood loading facility in terms of buildings and other details? I would love to see pictures of some layouts that have pulpwood loading facilties.
Thanks for your advice. It was very helpful. I know have an idea of what I will need.
What does a co-op ship and receive?
I was thinking a farmers Co-op. Would it ship or receive fertilizer? Also, could it receive tractors?
I liked the PRR GP-7 set but it's too much money for now. They barely had any scale freight cars at all.
