Has anyone seen the video in Cody's Office? I know this content is for subscribers only, but he did a special report regarding the train show and interviewed the Athearn rep. He showed a pre-production sample and there was the model with a cab interior installed. My guess is that it has a pretty good chance of being a Genesis model. Only time will tell.
I know I have posted questions on here about weathering wheelsets, but what about roller bearing trucks? What colors do you all use? I don't have an airbrush (yet) so I will have to use a paint brush or a rattle can.
Whenever you hear the words "model" "train" or "railroad" your ears perk up.
When you get chill going down your spine when you hear the rumble of a diesel....oh wait I'm standing outside with no coat on. When you look at a prototype train car and say, "I bet I can model that"
That's good to hear that they are still developing one. I hope they do them in BNSF because I will definitely order a couple.
A friend of mine is working on some track work. What he is doing is using the Bachmann EZ track that came with his son's Thomas set. He is using this track to get an idea of spacing with roadbed. He does not belong on these forums yet. I am going to ask the question for him. He wants to make a siding out of EZ track. He has two No. 6 turnouts made by Bachmann. What is the radius curve needed that comes off the frog so he can complete this siding.
To answer your first question. You can have the roadbed of the two tracks up against each other and that should work. Others will have other ideas. On your second question, you should not need to loop it back to it self. I don't have a layout, but I did see a guy's personal layout where he used the end of the buss wire and soldered his last feeder to and then to the track. Hope this helps.

I know what you mean. He currently is running an NCE Power cab like me. When I first heard Thomas I thought, "OK he really isn't serious about the hobby." But I was proven wrong.
I have some cars that are too shiny. I need to Dullcote them. Do you leave the trucks on to keep them upright and level? I assume you remove wheels so paint does not get on the track. Thanks in advance.
