Ok, going through my track plans, I have figured out a good idea. I created this one a while back when I first saw the beer line. I figured I could build it now, then later I could add the 22R up top.
Sorry about the vagueness. It's not a multi-deck. This would be easier to explain if I could get the track plan on here, but I don't know how to, it's on RTS. Basically the bottom part is a loop around with a small yard and a few sidings. While the part I want to elevate is a loop with a small passing siding. Because of size constraints it will be on a 4x8. Also with this in mind should I put down foam on the plywood before I add the elevation of which ever type it is? Also the 22R turns
I haven't been on here in a while and now I have a question that I haven't found an awnser to on frisco.org (were I've been since Jan.) I have a plan to build a new layout maybe this year. It is a 2 layer layout. I'm trying to figure out, would it be more practical to use foam or a custom made wood suport type deal? The reason I dont think foam is a good choise for this is because the upper layer must go over a bunch of inter sections with the lower lever. And I also plan to fill
So you're saying that if I buy a Digitrax decorder with harness I could solder it in then on down the line take out the decoder but still have the harnes and add in a sound decoder from say Lokosound. I think thoughs have a 8/9 pin on them.
Is there a way I could solder in a 8 pin harness in to an Athearn BB instead of soldering in a whole decoder? What I mean is can I solder in just the 8 pin inter face so that way if I need to change the decoder I jsut have to take it off the 8 pin interface instead of un solderign the whole thing.
What I was trying to say was with the 4x8 I could walk around 3 sides (2 long sides 1 short side). The 6x8 the reason I came here was the best thing I could come up with was 4 1x6 sectons bolted together in a rectangle and a double loop around it.
I am wanting to sise up to a bit bigger layout and right now I have a 4'x5'4" layout. I have narrowed it down to either a 4x8 or a 6x8. On the 6x8 it would go up aginst 2 walls were the 4x8 would go up agints only one. Min. radius 22 or 24". Don't sugest a woodland scenics layout kit I can not aford one of those! Note I model HO scale.
I have a IHC semi streamlide pacific that's in a few different peices. Can anyone provide me with some sort of asembly manuel? Note the pecies are Shell and body I just cant get them to line up to were the shelll goes down enought to screw it back to getther. Also where do I solder the head light wire in? one side came out
I have a Athearn RTR f7 ab set but the type of frame if is it would be considered a BB. The B unit is a dummy and I would like to add a motor to it and a SW1500 that I might by. What is the cheapest and easiest way to do this for someone with no experience in the field of motoring dummy units.
I have the atlas power pack and when it's in reverse I Have control over the speed, but when I put it in forward no matter were I put the nob the speed is maxed out. Why does it do this and how do I fix it?
