I have not posted pics in a while, because I have been too busy to make progress. My son's layout, though, had some progress... My wife took these pics while I was at a meeting. These are our niece and nephew. Enjoy....
At some point it must go above one door and under the stairwell. At that point (the stairs) I will put a removal plastic box over the track to avoid it accidentally being kicked. It will provide easy access. The door will provide a nice rise to the layout. at the point it comes back out from under the stairs, which will be boxed in (so the entire train can be hidden when parked - until I turn it on), I can have a nice mountain scene and a natural rock tunnel. The more I think of this the more excited
I am an HO guy. However, my dad left me an O scale chessie that I would like to set up and run for fun from time to time. My idea is to take my train room (that is still under construction) and build a shelf, about a foot wide, to circle the room at about eye level and just run the Lionel O scale easy track around it, paint some scenary on the wall, maybe a tunnel, a few trees, etc. Run that baby from time to time around the outer parameter of the room. Any comments or suggestions? It will have to
Nothing from me yet. I do have news on my new room though! I am about one third of the way done with the remodel (in case you didnt know I am turning one side of my garage into a train room, which required extensive remodeling). The plumbing reroute is done for the apartment upstairs, the stairwell is now drywalled and the outer walls insulated. I now must build two walls, insulate, drywall and then put in a drop ceiling. At that point I start benchwork. I am getting excited as by the end of summer

Some people on here just aren't happy I guess unless they're making themselves out to be superior to a 15 year old student and unless everyone does it their way. And maybe then they'd still be grumpy. I actually liked the scene--reminds me of some places around where I grew up. Yeah, the focus could be better, but you had addressed that in the initial post. I think whether or not
the advertisements are the only thing out of place in this scene. When you put your fisherman in the scene, if the log looks like the fisherman is sitting on top of a building - find a smaller one. take the signs off the fence. a home made keep out or no trespassing sign would easily fit that fence in its current location. The scene is great, guage your log by your fisherman size, take the adverts down if you are concerned about making jk happy. looks pretty good. ps, go to walmart - get a disposable
I do not have that tanker, but the ones I do have are nicely weighted by aquarium rocks inside the tank itself. Works nicely and I had them lying around so it was free. If, by chance, it was made in China there is a good chance it already has lead in it.....
true there are some good ones out there. first hobby happens to have been my first great experience, and it was good enough that they now have my business.
I am in Virginia and my neighbors are for crap... I have thought about doing N Scale, and would gladly pay you next Tuesday for your service today...
