To paraphrase a famous man "In the house at last, in the house at last, thank gosh almighty it's in the house at last!" I have my man cave back to! now the real fun work begins. And the trains are running again! Eureka!!! Chuck & Heather
All i can say for them is they are smooth and quiet and good pullers, am very happy with the 4 i own!
Happy 4th of July everyone, may your bottle rockets glare extra bright and your firecrackers be nice and loud! well at least that is my TRAIN of thought so...happy Birthday America!!! Also super nice work this week all, i again seem to have picked a week to post when all the stars showed up! lol. Chuck & Heather.
Hi all, well it's been somewhat hot and humid here as of late so working on the layout in the garage has been slow also been doing some non train related interests with some luck! But despite all those road blocks some progress has been made, some of the pink is gone and the facia has been installed and primed! Enjoy the pics. Chuck & Heather.
Hi all, I am interested in scratch building a wood trestle for the new layout and have some ?'s about it. First off i want to build a square timber type and according to what i have read 12"x12" seems to be a common size for the wood, which according to my scale lumber ruler is a 1/6 of an inch which according to my fingers is some pretty small stuff! has anyone out there built one and is there any scale fudge room here? also does anyone know if there are nut bolt washer castings made
Nice work so far everyone, i really like that low rider there Dave, are you going to be putting in the hydraulics kit soon? Progress this week includes making a mess of the garage with lots of staticy pink bits of foam and getting the upper track bed gooed down and cutting out for the trestle And doing the whole "Gleam" thing on the 2 main lines, i did 400,600,1000 and then used a stainless washer to burnish, have not done the polishing step yet, thought maybe it would be better to wait
Good start to WPF Jeffery, nice patch jobs there. This week i have some progress pics on the new layout, got the 2 main lines installed and have the track layed out for the upper level, And thanks to the resealing they did on the road/driveway the layout now has that authentic creasote/tar smell to it! Building a new layout=costly getting authentic stink=priceless! Chuck & Heather.
I would go with either a sleeveless pocket t-shirt or a tank type top, maybe a halter, but it's your call. Chuck & Heather.
