One of our HO scale club members brought some of those trees last year. They are too big for HO scale and don't look the least bit realistic. They could probably be cut off at the bottom to make them shorter and used as background trees, but we didn't use any of them on the club layout.
I'd be currious as to how tall they were as most trees I see advertised for HO are too short to be full grown trees. About two years ago my parents had the last
someplace I have a shot of my old 85 Silverado in a psudo D&H lightning stripe scheme. While I was repainting it white and blue I had the bottom half in primer grey and the top half in blue with a light yellow masking tape stripe. To be honest, it did not look too bad. I will have to see if I can find the picture. Dan
The next time you are painting the house or mowing the lawn only do what is in the front of the house. When she asks why you didn't do the back...ask her why go thru all the trouble on the side people don't see.
something to consider here... In the USA there ara aproximatly 300,000,000 + people. A demografic I got from a mnagazine sales dept a while ago said there are about 300,000 railroad interested people in the States. Tha equates out to . 001% of the people will know what the symbolism of that paint job will be. which means you will probably have to explain it to the other 99.999% of the people. I am guessing that you are not from the states but, I figure the demografics

OK, i feel the need to jump in here to clarify something a bit. There is no mold release agents used in injection molding processes. Now that I have made that very general statement I will concede that at times mold releases are used on occasion. This is very rare. If a mold release is used it is because they are trying to cover for another problem in the process. The most likely cause is a mold that has been run for too long and has developed a varnish like coating from the outgassing of the material
I have not tried it, but if it is 2 part casting resin that us resin casters use you should be able to use regular paint stripper. Don't use it on injected styrene parts though. As Dave mentioned, 90% isopropyl alcohol should work. I have also used Simple Green cleaning concentrate to strip paint as well.
I did the puffball method to get the mountain on my layout covered quickly. I am not sure if I am going to leave it as is or eventually redo it with super trees. The next two are of some of the super trees that are on the layout As for the question on Ground Foam, I make my own. I have a tutorial on my web site. http://www.dansresincasting.com/Ground%20foam.htm Dan Pikulski www.DansResinCasting.com
Since it is in the Scranton, PA area I would think it is part of the steamtown collection. Not sure though, just a guess
