What the... That is wierd. I wonder what the person was thinking when they did this.
Hello, (RANT ALERT) I'm practically seeing red today. Premier Gordon Campbell is making budget cuts to the public libraries. I'm an employee of one of the libraries and I'm really angry. Budget shortfall for the library that I work for is expected to be half a million dollars. Right now I'm unsure about my job, but hopefully I don't lose it. The weather isn't helping either: +30 degrees Celcius! (rant end) However, there is one thing that can be done. A website has been set
That sucks Kevin. I'll pick up the tab man.
Nah, It's okay. I'll still take the tab. On the plus side, having a massive rant makes one feel better.
That's got to be the best train wreck video on youtube. Was anyone hurt in the wreck (ie railway employees)?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WuDGnUrblM
That's really cool. Makes me want to have a construction scene on my (currently non-existant) layout.
Yeah, I know the plan has its shortcomings, but it could be heavily modified to better suit the OP's desires. Perhaps removing/sizing down the yard to fit the supplying/consuming industry and a small town, while the area closest to the lift gate with the industries and staging yard will have the other main industry and another small town if desired. The space between the two areas could be scenery with a type of view block, while the staging can be relocated under the layout or in a seperate
Why not try something like the Montreal Harbour Ry. http://www.trains.com/mrr/default.aspx?c=a&id=2436 Double track mainline with plenty of space to fit some of your ideas. Featured in June 2008 MR.
Hi, It's been a while since I've been in here. Probably gone through at least 5 diners without me, main reason being that I've been quite busy. 3 months ago, I got a job at the local library. 16 dollars an hour...most people my age make about half that with their first jobs! While I plan to save a good part of it, some will also go to the layout, which is STILL in the planning stages. Call me an extreme procrastinater (if that is the correct term) if you will. I've also purchased
Alright, so perhaps a dual folding layout would be a bad idea. What if I had just one section fold down while the other remained stationary? All I have in my room is a bed and sidetable, which gives me sufficient room for a stationary section of layout. Is this idea any better?
