Are there any different aspects I need to know about these turnouts? I have used Atlas code 100 for years, and I was wondering about the frogs on these other turnouts.
Greetings steam fans! I am requesting a quality report for the BLI Blueline 2-8-2 heavy or light Mikado. I have a number of proto steamers and I was just wondering how this model compares in terms of running quality in the DC format. I use a MRC Control master throttle so I have plenty of power for operation. Are these sluggish models and how does the level of detail rate?
I was wondering if someone could give me some information about the running quality of this engine series? I had not heard about the Powerhouse line from BLI. I have a DC layout with the sound controller that I use for my Proto units with QSI so this BLI locomotive has appeal, I am just cautious about purchasing it.
The BLI heavy mikado is a blueline locomotive
Thanks, the unit is however advertised as having the QSI system by a reputable hobby store.
Hi again, just looking for a rating of these Proto 2000 model.
I am assuming if it has the Walthers prefix in terms of product numbers and it states Walthers on the box, the model is from the later runs once Walther bought Lifelike?
Hi I was wondering if there are any issues concerning this Proto model. I did encounter with the older 0-8-0 problems with stalling on switches. I do realize that the 2-8-4 has more electrical pick up opportunities.
Hi , I have never scene this make of HO rolling stock in my local hobby shop, and I see that there are some good buys on the internet. I want to avoid cars that are similar to the older Model Power, Bachmann and Lifelike cars.
One quick answer - very cheap!
Hi I just got in the mail a brand new model from an online seller that I have dealt with in the past. The Proto 2000 FA2 did not move when I first applied the throttle - an MRC DC unit. It did move in both directions once I gently pushed it. It seems to take a fair bit of power to get it to move. Solutions? My Proto Erie Built takes off very quickly while this model slowly moves.
