I'll ditto Driline on Phoebe Vet's great photo. Love the Lackawana F3 ABA and the subway scene! Neat layout, too, with the trimwood and skirt. Also, many complimnets for other great layout photos from Robby, TX Terry (friends layout), Berlingo, MAbruce, Duckdodger, Geared Steam, Trainman Ty, Jerry, Jeff, and Crandell.
Jerry ... Happy Birthday !!!!!!!! Robby .... Let us know when it's your day!
Hello .... Nice work, everybody! Frank, I really like the workbenches, the tools, and the radiator shop....... Below are pictures of F units at work on my layout ...
Duke ... Yes I've noticed the photo at the top. ... It's about time for MR to change it, right? ... I wonder if MR could replace it with a pix of one of thsoe old Athearn hustlers !!!!! ... What do you think? .... BTW, have you seen pictures of Santa Fe's 2-8-4's. Years back, PFM impoirted brass models of that prototype. Nice engines !!! Cal Tom .... So the kids call it a study session at the movies..... Did we ever do anything like that when we were kids? ..... Remind us of the b'day
Good afternoon. .. Jerry is that a string of cars on your fiddle yard? I'll make a note of that. Hey, Diddle, Diddle, the Geep and the fiddle ........ Oh never mind........ Rob, if you have insomnia problems, perhaps you can take sleeping lessons from Duke. The Berkshires awake him briefly, but evedently he conked out in the corner booth again. .... Zoe you can serve a geritol and espresso coffee to Duke. Make it a double. Der John ... Sounds like you are making good layout progress. Keith .
Ohhhh ... I don't know if I can continue tolerating withdrawel from Petra's strudel. It's going to be rough. Quick, Ray, pass some cookies. They will help I think. Ulrich, does the local library gave internet? Our little library has public internet access for no charge. Well, well, well, well ........... Look who finally woke up...... It's Duke. ... It must have been those berkshire photos.... They were emailed to me. I suspect they were from the Owosso steam event, but I am not sure
Howdy Diners! Mmmmm .... Munch Munch ....... Thanks for the cookies, Ray . Latest on my BIL is he is still in ICU until his heart beats OK again. He has a low heart rate, and he just had open heart surgery a few weeks ago. His neck arteries were in bad shape and surgeon repaired them. Ulrich ... It's going to be rough on the chow hounds to wait an extended period for strudel. Seriously, I wish you and Petra the best. I'm curious if you have considered teaching at the college level with your
Hello again . Jeff I like the bricks! I just received these photos by email. I wonder if they are enough to awaken Duke......
Thanks for the concern and prayers regarding my brother in law in Nashville. He is now resting in ICU. The artery in his neck was worse than had been suspected, and surgery was a long one. Evidently, the artery was ready to break, and so it is good he did not wait any longer for the operation. Meanwhile, his heart is holding together from the valve replacement surgery he had last month. He may need more surgeries soon. On the model railroad, I worked on building another downtown building today. Maybe
Good morning. This morning I feel like I'm in an old Alfred Hitchcock movie, "The Birds". .. Birds keep flying into the windows. They can get messy. Our cat is not at all pleased with them either. Cal. Tom .... I like the 2-10-2, and I can understand the SP calling them somthing else. UP's were TTT's if I recall correctly. Another type, the 4-8-4 was called a "Dixie" on the NC&StL instead of a "Northern". Ulrich .. That locomotive has a quite an impressive
