Yes the proposed route would be just as convent as the 11st route. Plus there is land for passenger convenience expansion. I forgot to write about the biggest Joke the South Shore proposed. The South Shore said the with the new 11st route. The South Shore could run at 50 to 60 M.P.H. Amtrak and C.N. does not run through the city over 30 M.P.H. on their own tracks.
The reason I seen sparking. The wheel brushes were not making contact with the wheels. Electricity would flow through the wheels and the rail wipers would not spark. I am mounting brushes on all wheels and interconnecting the driving trucks.
This is a train simulator? To bad you could not stay in real life. Any Thing is possible in cartoon world, "Just watch Who Framed Roger Rabbit".
I talked to Robert Murry (rjmurry13@comcastr.com) who live all of his life so far in Michigan City. He is not a engineer of any sorts. He just used his head and memory to lay out a easier, cheaper, lest intrusive. more convent route for the Chicago South Shore & South Bend to take instead of 10 & 11 street use. Robert remembered what is now an abandon roadbed. He scouted it out and plotted out a much better rerouting of the tracks. One where NICTD considered going up the East side of Trail
I happen to run across a operator placing his tractor up onto a hopper. My jaw dropped. 1, 2, 3 he was on top. For a MILLION dollars I would not think he could have done it.
Now you know/see why the wires got mixed up.
I had shorting problems with my Aristo actually all engines with rail wipers and Aristo switches. The SD-45s with their longer trucks are more prone to shorts when crossing over the frog. Some mentioned that Aristo corrected the problem. My queries to Aristo got no responses.
I called MTH again and talked to Pete again. He remembers working on my engines. He said to talk to Customer service again. I had to call again. I asked for customer service after listening to all the recorded messages. Customer service said I needed to talk to repair tech. I said I did talk to Pete and he said I needed to talk to Customer service. I had to call back again. I just pushed "0". I explained the run around I been getting. She had Customer service call me(finally). I explained
I been having a major problem with MTH's rail wipers. I been removing them and adding Aristo's wheel brushes. I started to work on my MTH Challenger. I noticed a lot of sparking from the rail wipers. I found wheel brushes on two sets of drivers on both trucks. When I checked the brushes with a"OHM" meter. I seen the brushes were not contacting the wheels. I removed the brush holder and brushes. I found the brushes were to tight of fit in the brush mounts. I had to reduce the diameter
I attended a meeting for the propose rerouting of the Chicago South Shore & South Bend tracks in Michigan City. I missed the first meeting. This one was set up to answer the questions from the last. I downloaded a lot of pages from the hand out. A lot of the pages were just stupid gripes about the change and how will / much compensation will people get for their property. The freight and passenger line stated they need to implement the new safety regulations by 2015, Nictd Passenger service was
