My question is Is it nessary to hook up the track wires on each and every pannel or will one pannel do ? TIA
Terry, Got my SJMRRC home layout tour list, a new coffee cup, and a can of rootbeer that the dog didn't slobber all over!... see you Saturday!....chuck
I've never seen a dog that loves root beer I just set my cup down long enough to change the camera batteries while taking photos of your layout and he gobbled it all up You need to feed that poor dog !
Frank....... Very nice. Here's a "old" shot from me. I've added a turn out to the main line since this shot. I might need to take a new picture .
Just for grins i tried cropping your photo and adjusting the color and contrast
Terry The track wires are used to indicate whether there is power to the section of track they are connected to. If you have multiple blocks they can give you a visual indication of which block is powered and which is not. It is not necessary to connect them if you don't want this indication. Joe
Thanks Joe it a 2ft wide around the 12x10 room with no blocks I'm using 2 UR 90s to get better line of site

I made it over to Tom Baileys Santa Fe layout took a few pictures and shot some video Tom's layout theme is geared toward operations and hosts 4 to 6 operators per session it has 12 hidden staging tracks under the center of the layout so full trains can be dispatched plus switching of the feed mill and warehouse via the interchange track Here's the Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtnP_z9AOd0
If you do a search on Ebay for Rivarossi Parts you should find a dealer named "backshops" he has some very good replacement motors that are low draw and perfect for DCC conversions I bought one from him when repowering my F-19 Pacific Love It
