There's a picture of one at the following link if it helps: http://www.lionellines.com/files/displays/D-27.jpg Also, a member of the OGR Forum, Stur-it, built one. His email is available in his profile. His layout was featured in the LRRC Inside Track with photos in the Fall 2007 issue 118.
Hi. I was looking for the KittWorks website and can't find it. At one time John Kitterman was making and selling train track attached to wood that you could hook up in various configurations. Does anyone know if these items are still available?
Toys R Us has its own brand of wooden trains called "Imaginarium". Could be that. And if you have time to wade through this website fulll of wooden train links you might find the answer here: http://magicref.tripod.com/trains/trainlnk.htm#retail You may also want to try posting your question on a wooden train forum such as this: http://www.mythomasandfriends.com/
FYI - I contacted TM Video - this is on their list of layouts to film. Would still like to see a CTT article on it.
Bruce, This is very helpful info. Thank you very much.
I stumbled across a neat looking tinplate layout made by Dunham studios. Just wondering if anyone here knows if there was ever an article about it or if it is filmed in any of the train videos? I'd like to see more of it. Aloha, Joe Lyons You can see the picture of it here: http://www.dunhamstudios.com/jerseycentral.htm
I notice that the No 10. Electric sets from MTH come with 330 series passenger cars. Are there any other (longer) passenger cars that would couple to the No. 10 and look okay?
Larry, I recommend tracksidetrains.com They make beautiful wooden shelfs that are in the shape of a three rail train track. Grooves are pre-cut for various size wheel flanges. They are well constructed and don't have to be relegated to a train room. http://www.tracksidetrains.com/HTML/TRACKSHELVES1.html
Anyone who has the Lionel Route 66 flatcars should check out Trainbuddies ( www.trainbuddies.com ). They had RGS produce an ABA and EV caboose for the set. It looks awesome! I ordered one and am just waiting for it to arrive.
