I have several (18) HO scale C&O USRA 55 Ton Coal Hoppers that have duplicate numbers. The build dates are 1919. How do you go about changing the numbers so they can all be used at once? Bill
I wouldn't run them in an electrical storm. Years ago when I was a kid I was visiting my sister and brother-in-law. They had a window A/C unit running and the TV was on when a storm came up suddenly. The house had a separate 2 car garage that didn't have electricity run to it. My brother-in-law ran a heavy extension cord from the house to the garage for lighting purposes. The excess electrical cord was hanging on a wall and was looped around a hanger. It was about 18" off the concrete
Bill54 - You may see a that support column as an obstacle. I see it as a future skyscraper in the middle of a thriving metropolis...
Thanks, It was late last night when I posted it. Probably should have waited until morning to post. Anyway, Thanks for the suggestion. I never thought of it like that. Actually, I laid this L shaped layout on the floor so I could get an Idea of the space I would need to build a table. The layout you see is 13' x 17 1/2'
I'm glad this subject was brought up. I bought a Lionel train set around Christmas, the Denver, Rio Grande Western Fast Freight. It came with a 2-8-4 Birkshire that wobbles. I didn't notice it at first then when I expanded the layout I noticed it. The box says the set was manufactured in May 2008. That makes it a fairly new set with all the new technology. It certainly hasn't had enough run time to wear out the bearings. I would think that the axle is not mounted in the center of the
I've used them several times. They do not have an actual store that is why they cannot give you an answer. They take your order then order the items from their distributors then ship to you. The biggest problem I've had with them is back orders. They will ship you what they can get and if you have any back orders they ship them when they come in and charge you shipping a second time. So in the comments area you should tell them to cancel any backorderd items otherwise you will pay shipping
I had four DCC Specialties PSX Circuit Breakers on my last Layout. They worked flawlessly. Tony's Train Exchange sells them and they use to be under Tony's speciality products. You don't see any arching or any delays at all. They would be my only choice. Bill
Hi Bill54, I'm going to make an assumption here (Yes, I KNOW how the word *** U ME, breaks down) You are relying on the volt increments marked on the handle, aren't you? Unless you have verified those with an actual meter, don't beleive those markings. I have the new ZW, and like it very much, But, one of the things that I don't like about it is the High Minimum voltage( I don't have a meter handy, can't specify what the actual voltage
I'm new to "O" scale and have recently purchased Lionel's Rio Grande Fast Freight with Trainsounds. I also bought a new ZW transformer that comes with two 180 watt transformers and enough FasTrack to make a 13' x 18' layout. Once I had it all together I put the loco and cars on the track. The loco is a 2-8-4 Birkshire with trainsounds. I turned the transformer on and throttled up the ZW and noticed it took about 10 volts to get the loco to start up. Even the light doesn't
