I am wanting to build a HO scale wood trestle. Have some round 1/8" x 12" bamboo skewers left over from another project. Should I use these for the bents and use stripwood for the rest of the bracing or just use 1/8" x 1/8" basswood for the bents . Or what size stripwood should be used ? Any advice would be helpful , Thanks alot Train Fan
Just happened to come across the website for what is supposed to be largest model railroad located in West Chester , Ohio . Looks to be an awesome place to visit . So in the fall me and my wife would like to take a trip to go see EnterTrainMent Junction. Being a 4 1/2 hour one way trip ,was wondering if anybody has been there before and could tell us about their experience and their opinions about this fun place to visit. Thanks alot , Train Fan.
Hi Guys, Just about ready to color my stream bed. When done with the water want to have a muddy look.Was wondering what color would be the best to use. Will be using acrylic craft paint.Also in the middle of the stream will be a small waterfall . Let me know the best ways to make a waterfall . It will only be around 4 inches tall. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
Thanks don7 for posting that website for me. Found out what I needed to know guess that will be the next kit on my list. So far I have built Bertani's Biliards and it turned out to be a fine kit. It turned out really nice after I weathered it and gave it the old rundown look. Thanks for your opinion also.
Has anybody built this kit what is there opinion ? Also can't seem to find any pictures of I guess would be the front (has the billboard on the roof) does anybody have a picture or drawing of what this side should look like . Okay I know there are alot of great people on this forum so hopefully you can give some great advice. I am now planning to scratchbuild my own version of the fine scale miniatures kit Bailey Produce Company. Really like the looks of this building but want to make my own version of this sold out kit. Any advice what to use for siding , have looked into northeastern scale siding not sure would be the best kind for HO scale. Also what size stripwood would you suggest. If anybody has ideas for inexpensive
I just purchased JL Innovative's Bertani's Billiards and was wondering if anybody else has put together this kit and what they thought about it. Also was wondering if anybody could post pictures of it on their layout it would be most appreciated. Thanks , Train Fan
I also am having a computer network problem thought maybe somebody could help. Here is all the information I can think of. Have a desktop hooked up to a cable modem (internet,phone, and cable all together) Recently bought a laptop (acer) trying to set it up to a belkin wireless router . Had to hookup an netgear pci network card with ethernet because our desktop did not originally come with one. That is hooked to the router and another ethernet cable goes from the modem to the router . Went through
What is the best product to make your own roads, durham's water putty or spackling compound? Or is there any other inexpensive products.
