I would go at least 6X10 in my opinion First let me state I have never used O27 track! Two things about this track plan that bother me. 1: Everything I've read suggests a minimum of 6 inches spacing from table edge to center rail. 2: Would the back to back turnouts(switches) cause a stalling problems at lower speed? Welcome to the forum! Being a newbie myself I don't have an answer to your question. Maybe your problem is the grease has hardened over the years and the Loco needs a good cleaning. One of the experts will be along to answer your questions. You may want to supply the Loco number so they can identify it. Mark
8ntruck Just conventional for now, but I may step up to DCS when I sell off stuff I don't use to raise some money. I also have an Aerotrain with Loco-sounds and both units run fine on O36 fastrack but would look better on a bigger radius. The sound system is better on the PS-2 unit and both run better with my MRC 130 transformer than my CW80. I have not had the chance to run them with a MTH transformer. Mark
