Good Morning. Getting ready to head out to HotLanta. Brutus, glad wife is coming along. That marrow exchange will be most welcome with the desired effects. Been a lot of hurts around here lately...thanks to the friends here who give an ear and a prayer to so many concerns. Will check back on Sunday. Hope everyone has a blessed weekend. Dennis
Good Evening everyone! MIL and her husband are here. Had a long day at work, then shot to grocery store to pick up some items to make two bourbon chocolate pecan pies and a white chocolate/caramel cheese cake. Then came home, found Fed Ex delivered my Oil-less turkey fryer, brought that in and then headed out with whole gang to Pizza Hut for Pepperoni Pizza. Now home and baking pies to bring to SIL's house for a early Thanksgiving Dinner. This will be MIL's first trip up to SIL's house
Even though they were not in the water, you may want to take your rolling stock/engines out of the boxes and keep them in a dry place after a good lube and cleaning. If they were in a damp enough area, they may still rust. I have had this happen to metal items in similar situations. Good luck and glad the damage was not as bad as it could have been. dennis
Jim, why not give Bob K. a email and put it in the "Tips and Tricks" section of the magazine. I think they pay a little money, but more importantly, you can share the idea with a number of folks who may not catch the thread. Dennis
Good Evening everyone! Been a long day of it as I went in early for a case that didn't get going till 11am. Long case too as was a very sick patient. Went better than expected, but still makes for a long day. Called bride before leaving and we made arrangements to go to TexaStar Steak house for some steak and shrimp. Also had some Pecan Cobbler with ice cream....yum! Pat, we have all those, and Hogs too. They can be right mean when you shoot them! We have bear, but I have never seen one in the
Good afternoon Y'all! Had a quiet morning. Lots of small cases to get done, but went well. Cut out about 11am to head to the Sheriff's department Shooting range. Did the combat course...outshot everyone, including the experts....I've been doing competitions for a number of years (but they didn't know that ). Just an observation, but look at this motley crew here: We have all kinds of injuries and issues we are contending with. What is great about this place, is that we can all come
Quick stop over on my way to do a case this morning. Been reading up on all the posts I missed while in NJ. A good number of new faces around. It is a good thing. Got some new ideas to add to the layout...I see why these things are never really done. Hope it is a great day for all. God Bless, Dennis
Good Evening. Philly, if it is two motors, can you wire them in series? I know on the Williams GG1s, if you wire them that way, they run much slower and better. Also, I live less than an hour from Camilla, if you ever find your way up again, give a shout. Pat, love Dove hunting. My favorite thing is to fry the Bre*st in butter, when done, put a little heavy cream in with the drippings and make a nice gravy. Add some veggies and you have a meal. With the pellets, you have plenty of iron too I do the
Morning all. Dropped off our son at school and in a short while, the daughter's turn. Have to bring the wife's van in for service as we will be heading to HotLanta next week for "Thanksgiving" dinner with in laws. I am on call for the big day, so we will do it a week early. Regarding the movie, it is the story of three P.O.s who strive to be real men and real fathers to their kids. Lots of twists. I am not sure that we will have any train related scenes, but I will try to get one
" As part of the pre-opening housekeeping chores I was crawling around on the layout, unfortunately by the time I was finished it looked as though Perry's T-Rex had payed us a visit." Dougzilla Perhaps??? All the photos and layouts look great. Lots of fun to be had. Dennis
