WOW! If that is the shed, I can only imagine what the station would look like!!!!!
Perhaps going to the insurance company and say if the layout needs to be removed and the only way to remove it is to in essence destroy it, the damage estimate would need to be re-visited due an increase in the loss of personel property due to the water damage. At worse they may up the claim and you rebuild, at best they figure a way to work around it. Jim
Sometimes people will re-arch the spring to increase the tension making it more difficult to attach, especially if on a curved piece of track. I attach the 690 to the rail on the wire on side first ensuring the entire edge of the clip is on the rail bottom. If it gets cocked to one side it does not seat properly against the rail. With the one edge firmly in place, with you index fingers holding the top of the rail and pressing on the bottom of the clip with your thumbs, the clip side should snap
Evening all from beautiful Southern Ohio, Watched a beautiful 10 pt. Buck this morning on the way into work. I keep the field glasses in the car this time of the year. Watched him for several minutes. I have got to find time to start hunting again. Jim – Thanks for the tip on the 600 to redo. I’m watching it now. The one last night just went higher than I can go right now. It was worth every bit of what it went for. I know what you mean about the tabs. The Baker Book said to look carefully to see
Exactly! One of the things I do at work is write operating procedures and pictures are better than words! Thanks Greg. Jim
Jim I've wondered about using the white pens. I have used black sharpies with success, I ned to get me some! The Baker book is a really good resource and shows a lot of neat repair techniques, where the service manual is more of exploded diagrams, wiring etc. If I could have only one, I'd pick the service manual. The Baker book is a more of a how-to based. Jim
Evening everyone Hope all are doing well. Continued prayers for those in need. Nothing new on the train front, missed out on a 600 crossing gate on the bay tonight. Someone else wanted it more. There are a couple others I'm looking at but they will need to be restored. I have two 592 crossing gates waiting on me now to restore. Fife - put her up on blocks is like when we winterize the camper. Pretty well says not going to be used till next year. I have not winterized the camper, but there is
Evening all, Sounds like everyone is busy or on the mend, which is good. I think about you guys a lot and read but don't get to post much due to lack of time. I have something else that I should be working on but don't feel "inspired" to write. Continued prayers are needed and being offered. May God bless Jim
Good afternoon all A quick check in during lunch. Jim – That is a very good price for a 332. You did very well. The 760 flashers are neat. (do I sound like a broken record?). Make sure you get the 697 trips, you’ll need two and the ones with the ceramic pads are better than the plastic ones when you can find them. Got to go, may God bless Jim
Jim-Your 332 is beautiful!!!!!! A piece I am still trying to aquire! Very nice find! I'm sure you will get her running easily. Jim
