Learned something new the other night when the wife and I were out to dinner. We went out with some friends ya know, and one of them is an EMT part time. Found out they have a "rule" regarding mean, nasty, rude, drunk, or just downright uncooperative folks in the wee hours of the morning. It's called "The Naked Rule"! Goes like this...... If you call for an ambilance after midnight, and you have any of the conditions listed above, and give them any problems, you arrive at
Todd, we have our own chili cookoff coming up in a few months. I've been working on a white bean & chicken chili recipie for this years contest. Too bad you didn't bring home the bacon (the big prize), but at least you didn't bring home any chili! (You sold it!)
Sounds like a nice guy Todd. As for the family, they're doing pretty well. My son is walking, though slowly and carefully. Youth tends to make the heealing go quicker you know! My wife is still pretty sore, but her staples come out tomorrow, so that should help. She can walk to the bathroom and back from bed, but thats about it. I took her to church last night in a wheeelchair and then out to ddinner with friends, so she got to get out of the bedroom for a while. (I think she'd go crazy if
I wish you'all would tell me when we are moving so as to not feel like a fool..LOL..
Problem is, half the time WE don't know! And since we're scaring each other with mug shots........ Me, posing for a halloween pic........frightening, huh? (Click to Expand)
PC - if you really want to scare folks, re-take that photo in late afternoon, and wear a black leather outfit... Good shot of the bike, by the way.
This was the Halloween shot actually......... (Click to Enlarge)
Strange turn of events....... Anyways, here's the new diner on a new track: http://cs.trains.com/trccs/forums/p/162801/1793074.aspx#1793074
Mornin' all! Just getting ready to head out to the hospital. Guess we caught a break and didn't have to get up before the sun. My son's surgery is scheduled to start at 1pm today, so we don't have to be there til 11am. Well, it's supposed to be really nice here this weekend. They're talking about an indian summer type weekend. That'd be nice. So.......I guess it's time to get moving.........LATER!
We got back from the hospital not too long ago. Everything went well, but my boy is not feeling so hot. His tummy is pretty tender, and of course his knees are hurting, but he can walk with a walker (not too far, but it's all good). Thanks for the prayers everyone! We'll know if it's a success in 3-4 months. Everyone around here is pretty drained for know, but........LET THE HEALING BEGIN!
Philip glad she is doing well! I think you said your son was having surgery as well today? How is he doing (if you know anything). Prayers continue!
Thank You......and........ All, My sons surgery is tomorrow. Thanks for all the prayers. After tomorrow we should be able to chill for a bit.
