Goodmorning Railfans. Got a question? I have a Marklin train set and I am wondering if the Marklin DCC decoder is/will interface/comptable with the American made DCC systems. Or, do I have to purchase Marklin's DCC system. All my other rail stock is US HO, including engines etc. I hope I'm making sence. The Marklin expertise is very limited in my area. Would appreciate any input anyone might have. Have a great day railroading.[8D]
Thanks everyone for all your valuable input to my question. I will read, research, and analyze all I can find before I jump. Again, thanks and have a great day railroading.
Good evening rail fans. I am looking into changing to DCC and I'm trying to locate, either online or otherwise, reviews/information on the many different systems and prices. Any ideas anyone?
Man what great work. I'm really impressed. I'm hoping to start construction in the next few months and I will be following your progress with much interest. If I may ask, what are your room demensions and how are you connecting to the walls and will you be using angle or floor brases to keep is solid? I'm still struggling with what size I want mine to be. Keep up the great work and I wish you all the best. I will be watching for updates.
Gentleman/Ladies, I am in need of some assistance in how to remove water base paint from a plastic structure, specially in the grout area. I've tried using warm water and soap with a tooth brush, to no avil and also tried several other ways to remove the paint. I have thought I could use a watered down thinner but I'm afraid that the thinner will melt the plastic. So, I know some one out there may have a better idea. All ideas are welcome. You all really helped me on how to paint the grout lines
I would like to thank everyone who answered my question about grout. All your input was great and I'll do my best to follow all the good advice. Again, thanks for all your responses. Hope everyone is having a great day working on their railroads. Thanks, Jon
Good day my fellow railfans. I have been looking my fool head off to locate information on how to put GROUT on a plastic brick sided station I have just started building. I know, I have read somewhere on the procedures on how to do this and the article included the type and color of paints that are required. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen passenger cars described as heanyweights and lightweights and I haven't the faintest idea what they are talking about. Can some one clue me in. I think I know, but I can not find a definition anywhere.
