I have a pre order in for a BLI Pacific. The dealer says there might be a hold up on the order as BLI is being sued for something or other. Has anyone ehard anthing about this?
I have been away for a few months now and I need advice as usual. I have visited HOseekers and tried to post an ad. When I try to add a photo, nothing happens and the site goes back to where it started. All of my typing gone! Is there another free site that I can try?
I received an E mail from Dave Rygmyr saying that they are currently testing their new gears for the Bachmann Shay. If all testing goes well, they plan to announce them within a month or so. It can't happen soon enough for me!
David, using the small Pasche would work but it would take a whole bunch of time to do it. Unless you have a larger compressor in the garage, I wouldn't recommend it.
I have Emailed NWSL as well, and told them my tale of woe with this product. (3 truck Shay) HTH
I have the same compressor as you. It works just fine with my two airbrushes. As said above, a moisture trap and regulator is a must for the best results.
With good kits costing so much, I find that reading the instructions a helpful thing
I have heard several ways to clean resin castings and they are all basically the same but my German thirst for detail requires me to ask some questions. The way to clean the castings is to use detergent. Will normal dishwashing liquid do for this? How long must I soak the castings before scrubbing them with a soft brush? After cleaning, they must be assembled. What keeps them clean until a coat of paint is applied? Thanks for your patience,
Thanks for telling me. I have automatic updates but missed this one!
I have been told that ACC is the only glue to use in assembling a resin kit. I am not a "fan" of super glues but I am willing to learn. I find that some castings need a shim between them to bring the pieces in the correct place for attachment. I normally use sheet styrene for this purpose. Do I still use ACC to attach the shim to the first piece, then more ACC to attach the second piece to the shim? Do I use something other than styrene? I need about a .010" thick shim.
