I use excel too - I record railroad name, type, manufacturer, catalog #. Like Don said, you can sort anyway you want/need. Works great for me.
Great to hear! I'll be sure to check it out since I work at 51st & 6th - right in Rock Center area. I always make trip over to Grand Central to see the display there but was disappointed to hear that there wouldn't be a Citi display again this year.
Apparently a very tempermental accessory. After getting it from Trainz a 3rd time it finally worked - fortunately I tested it on kitchen counter because it pumped the water but leaked terribly. Trainz gave me a full refund. I was very impressed with their customer service - emails & phone calls about getting tower to work, prepaid shipping, and after all a full refund (I offered to take a store "credit" because I felt I owed them something for their time & efforts but they insisted
Traindaddy, we may have been neighbors - I grew up on east 87 street around the corner from Woolworth & Grants (my Mom still lives there). I dont remember either store having toy trains but they were the local place to shop - I remember buying Mom & Dad presents there. I seem to remember a blue & yellow Santa Fe GP38 with glass showcase.
I second Rob's comments - I have Railbox version with diesel sounds and it works great with ZW. Nice engine sounds, horn, bell, & crew talk. Dont know if $135 is good price, but I always liked the NYC pacemaker paint scheme.
Super O was a new more realistic track system that Lionel brought out in 1957. It had more realistic ties than tubular and had t shaped outer rails.
Really neat effects (especially liked the swinging bell), but out of my price range. . .
As a buyer I have enjoyed the convenience of paypal - no more Saturday trips to the post office for money orders. I have also received refunds via paypal. Overall I have had good experience.
